Are you looking to make your home more energy efficient? One of the easiest ways to do this is to consider changing out your old lighting for LED lights. LED lighting is far more energy efficient than tradtional lighting, and it is relatively easy to upgrade your home or business to LED lighting.

Why switch to LED lighting?

LED lighting generates minimal heat, and use less energy than traditional incandescent or fluorescent lamps (light bulbs). We offer LED lights that provide a higher color rendering, meaning that colors in your room will appear richer and vibrant. LED lighting can also make a significant aesthetic imapct on walls and surfaces by evenly distributing light. LED lighting is environmentally friendly (do not contain lead or mercury), and have an extremely long useful life. LED lighting simply looks better than traditional lighting, and can lower your energy consumption in an environmentally responsible manner.

How do LED lights work?

LED's emit light in a specific direction, while incandescent or fluorescent bulbs emit light all directions. With incandescent bulbs, about 90% of the energy that used to light them is actually wasted as heat, not light. A fluorescent bulb can waste about half of the light it produces while a more efficient LED light only produces light where it's needed, pointed towards the room below. When LED lighting is designed well, it can be more efficient, durable and longer lasting than incandescent and fluorescents lighting. LED lights also produce a lot less heat and are actually cool to the touch, staying close to room temperature as they operate.

Advantages of LED lighting

  • LED lighting directs light only where it is needed
  • LED lighting is more durable – no breakable glass or filaments
  • LED lighting instantly provides perfect light levels (no warm-up required)
  • LED lighting does not contain hazardous substances such as lead or mercury
  • LED lighting has a long lifetime (lasting +15 years is normal)
  • LED lighting is compatible with electronic controls to change light levels and color characteristics
  • LED lighting does not emit infrared or ultraviolet radiation
  • LED lighting generally does not attract insects
